One of my goals this year was to create banners for every holiday so that I can store them for next year.
Here is the one I made for Valentine's Day. I used Martha Stewart Valentine's Day paper for the backgrounds and just traded off between red and pink solid paper for the letters. I printed the letters on the Silhouette using Captain Howdy font. I learned from my Give Thanks banner to have my Silhouette cut holes for the ribbon so that I don't have to estimate where the center is with a hole punch. I also discovered how to use the "offset" and "align center" settings in the software, which worked out really well and made things a lot easier!
Other than that, this project is pretty self explanatory!
Here is my mantel after I threw up all things Valentine's Day to take this picture :)
I've been working on a project for my Show Some Love blog hop post all night. I have to get my wisdom teeth out tomorrow morning at 8:30 am {not excited}. I'm hoping that I recover quickly so that this project gets finished up in time to post on Sunday!!
{wish me luck...}
{P.S. Sorry this post sucks, I'm really tired and thought I'd get in one more post before Sunday.}

I love the banner! I've never done a banner but have been wanting to. Your mantel looks so festive!
ReplyDeleteThis banner is so cute! I'll have to make this one :) hope the whole wisdom tooth thing works out for you :( I have to get mine pulled soon. It sucks!
