DIY: V-Day Ticket Jar

With Valentine's Day coming up, my mom asked for my help creating something special for my step-dad. She bought this cool jar and commissioned me to make something similar to this.

This is what I came up with:

I started by printing these two shapes out on my Silhouette. Using the perforate edge setting, I created little holes to guide my needle and string. I attached them using Zots. 

Before putting the label on the jar, I thought it would be a nice touch to add a ribbon. I attached both ends using Zots again.

These were made using the free shape of the week Silhouette featured a couple of weeks ago. My mom plans on turning these into coupons for him to cash in on.

Finally, I printed out the word "love" with pink vinyl using cutie pop font from dafont.com.

Are you ready for Valentine's Day? I'm not! I still have to work on a last minute project that will be revealed tomorrow!
