Hey, long time no blog! I'm still recovering from the whole wisdom teeth thing and I really haven't been very productive lately.
We received some bad news that my Grandma got into a really bad car accident this week. She used to make us personalized cards when we were little, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to make my first greeting card using my Silhouette!
To make the flowers, I printed out a hydrangea flower pattern (hydrangea_petals_C03051_1) on a couple different types of paper and layered them using Zots. For the center of each flower, I applied adhesive pink diamonds that I had left over from our wedding. Each flower is attached to the card using 1/2" foam adhesive circles.
I made the letters using the welding tool on the silhouette, then made the blue background by using the offset button. The base of the card is simply an 8.5" x 11" piece of cardstock folded in half.
For the inside of the card, I printed this shape out on blue cardstock. I just attached it to the card with roll-on adhesive tape.
Then, I re-sized the shape on the Silhouette software to be a little bit smaller and reprinted it onto white linen paper. I wrote my personalized greeting on this and attached it with adhesive tape.
And here is the final product again. Pretty good for my first greeting card, I must say!

I'm sorry about your grandmother. These cards are super cute though :) I'm sure she'll love it!
