I was doing really well and posting often for the first part of this month. Then? It slowed down and came to a screeching halt. Why? Because I have a real life. In reality, I don't craft every day. It's actually more like I have a marathon craft day and then I don't go into my craft room for another two weeks. Here's why: The water meter business is really good right now, which has resulted in me working at least 9 to 11 hours every day for the past week. The week before that I was at a conference in Arizona. So now that January has flown by, let's move on to February.
Currently, I'm on a diet.
I started on Monday 1/27 and I've already lost between 3-4 pounds in less than a week. My body is really good to me like that. If I decide to eat right, the pounds just start disappearing. I especially love that I don't have to work out to make that happen. The trick is to keep track of what you eat. I use the My Fitness Pal app to keep track of my meals.
Currently, I'm preparing for a baby shower.
I'm hosting my sister-in-law's baby shower at my house on February 15th. I've sent out invitations and made a really intense Pinterest board, but that's basically all I've done. I'm such a procrastinator.
Currently, I'm watching Homeland.
Today is one of the few rainy days we've had here in California in a really long time. I'm taking advantage of this lazy day and running a train on season 3 of Homeland. Do you watch? If not, you should. It's On Demand through Showtime if you have Comcast.
I'm about half way through the book. It's really good so far. I'm just now learning Bernadette's back story. She's such a quirky lady!
Currently, I'm listening to Haim.
Ok, actually I'm currently listening to Homeland, but whenever I'm listening to music, I'm usually listening to the Haim sisters. If you haven't heard them, preview some of their songs on iTunes. You won't regret it, I promise!
Currently, my favorite app is Waterlogue.
It allows you to turn a normal picture into works of watercolor art.
Currently, my phone background looks like this.
I think it's a great reminder to us all and has especially helped me get through these past couple of long weeks at work.
