Hairstylist Party for Men

My bro-in-law recently left for Paul Mitchell beauty school. We are so unbelievably proud of him and his future career, so John and I threw him a surprise going away party. It consisted of dancing, mostly. That's kind of our thing, but I'm not going to show you any pictures of that part because they all came out blurry and are really embarrassing!

I covered a table in wrapping paper instead of using a table cloth. It was so easy to clean up and I found that this was the best way to get a table cover that matched perfectly with my theme!

• The tray on the left was made out of dollar store trays {tutorial coming soon}.  I had the paper nut cups on hand and filled them with vanilla Tootsie Rolls and Hersey Kisses. 
• I simply wrapped ribbon around a mason jar and stuck blue and black paper straws in it for the guests. 
• The tin for the forks were from the dollar section at Target and already had chalkboard labels on them... perfect for utensils!

Here is a closeup of the confetti I made using my Silhouette and scattered all over the food table.

I wrapped a piece of foam board in wrapping paper and used my Silhouette to cut the vinyl out for this sign. I set it up on an easel and left sharpies on it for everything to leave well wishes. Overall, we had a great time dancing to the XBox Kinect and eating an amazing taco meal that John prepared. We're all really excited to have a hairstylist in the family now too!
