10 Easy New Year's Eve Craft Projects

It sort of just occurred to me that we have another holiday between Christmas and Valentine's Day. A holiday that celebrates new beginnings and involves lots of glitter. My favorite. I was so wrapped up in Christmas that I didn't put any effort into planning for New Year's Eve. I can't go a holiday without some sort of crafting though, so I took to Pinterest and gathered 10 easy crafts that I can still pull off. All you need in order to accomplish most of these crafts is paper, scissors, glue and lots of glitter.

1. You know how I love me some orbs. This DIY New Year's Eve ball from Tracie at Cleverly Inspired is so easy and only takes a few minutes to put together.

2. Are you looking for a big bang with a little buck? These DIY sparkly champagne bottles are a little messy, but so easy to make.

3. Looking for a perfect way to entertain the children? These shakers from The Centsible Life are a great way to create noise at midnight and maybe even keep the kids busy during the hours leading up to it.

4. I'm loving these printables from Shanty 2 Chic. Although you won't be able to benefit from this craft during this New Year's Eve, it is a great time to start. Fill a jar with memories throughout the year and open it on NYE to reminisce on all of the fun times you had throughout the year.

5. If you're really trying to impress people this year, try making these fancy NYE treat poppers. I love the detail that went into these.

6. These countdown corks from Lisa Storms are such a cute idea. Even if you don't plan on opening 10 bottles of wine/champagne on NYE, you can always add some Martinelli's into the mix to round out your 10 bottles. The accordion circle clocks are also a great backdrop to add flair to any room.

7. Who doesn't love cupcakes? Another great idea from Lisa Storms. You don't have to be super crafty to create these clock face cupcake toppers. Just some scissors, paper, toothpicks and a cute brad can make all the difference.

8. I've been totally into chargers lately. So much that I made a whole Pinterest board out of the concept. Better Homes & Gardens posted this brilliant idea to dress up your NYE tablescape. If you don't have a fancy machine to cut vinyl for you, you can always use stickers and sharpies to make these adorable NYE chargers. {Tip: Glass plates from the Dollar Store work perfectly for this.}

9. Head over to Wedding Bells and grab their free printable to make some confetti poppers out of push pop containers.

10. Last, but certainly not least, one of my favorite bloggers shows a simple way to make Kate Spade inspired champagne flutes. And the best part? You can peel off those dots and start fresh for a new holiday. Not that you would want to since those are so adorable. Head over to see Courtney at Pizzazzerie for some amazing NYE ideas.
