John planned a special day for our 4th anniversary this year. It started with gifts, totally spoiling me as usual. I knew I liked the idea of having a good camera, but I always convinced myself that it wasn't necessary because our iPhones were good enough. I couldn't have been more wrong. It's kind of like when I refused to give in to the concept of expensive jeans because I figured my cheap ones worked just the same. (That's totally false btw. Expensive jeans are totally worth it.)
My husband has always been really good at either reading my mind, or knowing what I want without me knowing it myself. I'm pretty sure all of my girlfriends will agree that he's one of the best gift givers ever. (I'll take some credit since I was able to train him young when we started dating at 14.) He bought a Canon EOS Rebel T5 and it has completely blown my mind. I'll admit that I used to spend way too long editing pictures to make each one perfect for social media. With this camera, I literally just upload and go.
Modok was harmed in the making of this picture. After 2 days of running around on 3 legs, we took him to the vet and found out that he sprained his knee. So now we have a sedated pug laying around our house to keep him from tearing ligaments. No more long walks on the beach for Big Mo.
And then we have this little rat, who refuses to get wet and hates to get dirty. She literally managed to open the lunchbox without us noticing and started eating the salami. Fifi gets what Fifi wants.
If you're in the market for a DSLR camera, I highly recommend the Cannon Rebel. This bundle came with a second lens and carrying case as well. Also, I should mention that you don't need any skill or previous knowledge to make pictures look like this. I just played around with some settings on the way to the beach and managed to take these amazing pictures. Trust me when I say I have zero experience with DSLR cameras. I'm sure there are many more features for me to discover!
He may or may not have also bought this for me. He knows me so well :)
