Lazy Nights

John often travels during the week for work, so I find myself sitting on the couch until way too late at night surfing the internet and doing other completely unproductive activities.

Since John knew he'd be gone this week, he timed our Netflix account to send me the movie Valentine's Day so that he didn't have to watch a chick flick with me. While watching the movie, my pups and I sat under our Batman Snuggie (<-- I know, you're jealous.) and ate a root beer float. I also downloaded about 100 cute new fonts to my Macbook and stalked random people's blogs. [That's my new thing. I don't go on Facebook anymore because blogs are much more creative.] The movie inspired me to do some V-Day shopping for John, so I got that over with and started making a wish list for myself. This is what I've come up with so far:

Tory Burch 'Reva' Glitter Flat (You will probably find these hiding under my wedding dress because I really need an excuse to buy them.)

Amazon Kindle: I can't decide if I actually want this or not. However, if it came in pink, there would be no doubt in my mind. I kind of like the idea of just putting a skin on it and buying a pink case for it though. Cute? or should I just wait for the Kindle Color to come out some day?

Waste of Paper

I just had to share this. In ONE day of mail, I got six credit card offers- five of them from the same company! I continue to get at least one from Chase every two days. It seems like the envelopes are getting larger in size by the day; maybe that will help catch my eye to make me open it some day?

my favorite holiday ♥

I had an urge to do something artistic today, so I called up my friend Leslie and we spent the evening searching for a craft project. After 2 hours in Wal-Mart [that's our only option in Windsor] we came up with this idea. I bought different size vases and all kinds of festive candy to fill them with. Then, we decorated them with some ribbon and found some other decor from around the house to match.

Here's our new fireplace mantel for the next month and a half. No snacking allowed :)

On another note...

BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!! The iPhone is coming to Verizon just in time for Valentines Day! I've been waiting soooo long for this.

gettin' hitched.

So, we've been engaged for over 365 days now and we haven't gotten very far on this whole wedding planning thing. We are getting married at the Mark West Lodge in Santa Rosa on 7.1.11.

... and that's about all we've got so far. Here is a look at what I want to incorporate into our wedding:

1) We're definitely having cupcakes and, for those of you who don't know, John has an obsession with comic books, soooo.....

2) Luckily our venue has my dream gold chiavari chairs for our reception. This is a picture of what my perfect centerpiece would look like.

5) I'm sooo excited about our pink candy bar!
