Hi, I'm Hilary!

I originally started this blog as a way to share the story of our wedding, but then re-branded it in January 2012 to focus on my craft projects. My amazing husband has been extremely supportive of my new hobby {look what he made me!} and encourages me to be more creative every day. I usually need at least 4 hands to complete my projects, so he has come in really useful to me lately!

The name of my blog stemmed from something I say after {literally} every project I do. Whether it is making a simple cup of hot chocolate at night, creating something I saw on Pinterest or finishing a home renovation project, I never plan ahead and tend to wing it every time. This usually results in hours worth of extra work and a lot more money than necessary, but I'm learning!!

{About Me}

My husband {John} and I started dating when I was 14 years old. After eight looonnnnggg  years {JK, time flies when you're having fun...}, we finally got married on 7.1.11. A couple of years before we tied the knot, we purchased our first home {on my 21st birthday!}. It has been an amazing experience that forced us into adulthood really quickly!

2011 was a big year for us. Besides getting married, we also both earned our Master's degrees. John got his in History {his thesis was about how comic books shaped youth culture, cool huh!?} and I got an M.B.A. We have both been working at the same company for 6 years now. We sell water meters {random, right?}.

Oh yeah, we also have a combined 25 pounds worth of dogs.

Meet M.O.D.O.K

Meet Fifi
{Weighing in at a whopping 5 pounds, she is the queen of our household}

{story of my life}

  2. Love the part about "winging it" Hunny, that is me too. I have my husband's help a lot. I mean it is true love when your husband teaches you how to thread up your sewing machine you bought at a thrift store. Ha. That is how we roll in our home under our Crafter's Moon. :D

  3. lol omg you both are so cool!! i love MODOK and FIFI!! :)

  4. I can not find your email for the life of me, but wanted to tell you THANK YOU so so very much for my mugs and hot chocolate! I got the package right in the middle of all the Project Hope busy-ness and it was such a sweet, perfect surprise! The mugs sit right out on our counter, and the girls can NOT wait to try the hot chocolate. As soon as the weather turns just a bit cooler, we are breaking it out ;) I thought it was so so thoughtful and sweet for you to think of my kiddos. Thank you so much :))))

  5. Hi, I enjoy reading your site! Is it okay if I contact you through email? Please email me back.
