This past weekend we travelled to beautiful Fresno, California to watch my cousin graduate from Fresno State. It was a very quick trip and so hot that I finally broke in my new J. Crew shorts. We got to visit with my aunts and uncle from San Luis Obispo as well, so overall, it was a great trip!
The week leading up to this event led me on a "pinning" frenzy of all things graduate related. Although I ended up not crafting anything creative for my cousin [because I've been really lazy lately], I came across some great ways to creatively give money to graduates.
I have a secret to admit. I'm all about white on white on white. Whenever possible, my goal is to get pure white backgrounds in my pictures. I love how a bright subjects stand out against it. I wish I had a big bright white room where all my pictures were taken [like Becki from Whippy Cake], but since I don't, I had to find a new solution.
What is the one, bright white item that all of us have access to?
I can't help but notice that there are images all over Pinterest of people decorating their wall using vinyl decals. I am so intrigued by this idea, but I can't decide what shape I'd use or where I would put it. On the plus side, I'm very capable of making these decals on my own, which means I need to make a decision and DO IT before the trend passes! I've gathered up some inspiration from some very trendy ladies. It is truly amazing how many different looks you can get using this technique.
So is it just me, or does it seem like everyone is either pregnant or birthing children lately? I guess I'm at that age where people start doing that sorta thing. Well now that we're long past Dr. Seuss's birthday and almost to the end of the school year, there's no better time to share this adorable Dr. Seuss baby shower that my friend and a group of teachers hosted in their elementary school library.
